Ambassador Council Speakers Series
The Ambassador Council Speakers Series hosts public affairs events and programs featuring prominent government and private sector leaders from the Baltics and the U.S. The series encourages greater integration, cooperation and investment, as well as provides an opportunity for USBF supporters to meet Ambassadors Council members, Administration and Congressional officials, businesspeople and Baltic government and business representatives. Previous Council programs have featured:
- Capitol Hill preview of The Singing Revolution with Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves
- Estonian President Arnold Ruutel, in cooperation with the World Affairs Council of Northern California and Stanford University
- Andris Auksmanis, Executive Director of the Soros Foundation- Latvia
- Ingrida Udre, Speaker of the Latvian Parliament, and Representative John M. Shimkus (R-IL), Co-chair of the House Baltic Caucus, in cooperation with the Illinois State Society
- Trade and Investment luncheon featuring U.S. Ambassadors Catherine Todd Bailey (Latvia), Stephen Mull (Lithuania) and Aldona Wos (Estonia) and Latvian Minister of Economy A.K. Kari
